Always keep gun pointed in a safe direction Always keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot Always keep gun unloaded until ready to use. Keep gun unloaded, pointing up or down, action open, empty or in a gun case when approaching the firing line or benches. Gun are to be unloaded, open or flags used and not handled when targets are being replaced. Do not "SWEEP" people with your muzzle. If anyone is down range do not handle your gun until everyone is behind the firing line. Also make sure no one is at the 200 yard target this is important. Do not use your scopes to see if someone is down range. Use Safety Range Flag when changing targets and the last shooter brings it back to the firing line so everyone is accounted for. Always make sure that you are shooting into the back stops. Shoot safely and have fun.
The combination is available upon the receipt of membership payment. The combination is usually written on your membership card to ensure that you will have your membership card when using the club facilities. The combination is used for the entrance gate as well as the clubhouse. When using the club, you may leave the gate open. When you leave, lock the gate OR tell the last guy out that you are leaving and for them to lock the gate. If not, tresspassers may come into the club. Please remember to always bring your card.
You as a member are allowed to ask to see another occupant of the range for their membership card. You MUST show your card if you are asked. Please be polite when asking others or being asked by fellow members.
Any member shooting at random or creating unsafe acts at the ranges will have their membership revoked. Any member who witnesses unsafe acts should contact one of the officers. - ISA Safety at the Silhouette Range:
When using personal clay throwers at the Silhouette range, set up and shoot from the middle to the right side of the Silhouette range. This is for protection from ricochets from the pistol range causing injury. Also note, the pistol range is closed for any scheduled event on the Silhouette range.
- PITTSBURGH SUBURBAN RIFLE LEAGUE:
For this year's schedule, please see the bulletin board in the front room of the club or contact Bob Cain @ 724-834-8926
When done shooting, please take down targets. When using range to sight in shot guns, please do not use the back stops. They get damaged and have to be replaced too often.
A map of the ISA facility is hanging in the front room of the club house for members to consult to verify the boundaries of the club. Please use this when visiting the club.
