ISA WOMEN'S LEAGUE
The Women's league is designed to take anyone from beginner to whatever skill level
they wish to achieve.
The objective of some is to improve their skill levels for target and/or competitive
shooting.
Others, while wanting to improve their skills, also are interested in the aspects
of self-defense.
While this not a "formal" class, the instruction and material is based on the
basic pistol and self-defense course of the NRA.
Having your own handgun is not required to participate. Firearms are available to use.
Membership at ISA is not required. This league is open to the public. There is a
$3.00 fee per meeting.
The women's league meets every 3rd Wednesday of the month at 7:00pm, rain or shine.
Some of the subjects that we cover are:
- Firearm Safety
- Correct Stance
- Sight Picture
- Choosing the best firearm and caliber for your hand size and purposes
- The "mindset" for self-defense
- Care and cleaning of your firearm
- Different methods of carrying concealed
- Self-defense in the home
- Point and shoot method
